Live set posted on Website

So after conference, we realized that more than just the industry would enjoy our live set demo.
Its not available to download, but if you want it, just let us know and we'll send you an MP3.
The stream can be found on our site:
www.sciencevsnature.com

Fun little fact, this was our first time playing together in over 6 months as we've been extremely busy doing remix work and learning the new toys. This was take 3, and once we work out some kinks, you can only imagine how good this is going to be, as it already seems pretty F-N amazing.

KEEP IN MIND, this is NOT a DJ set. We are working/manipulating every sound LIVE using pre-sequenced patterns in Logic on two sets of Euphonix mixers and controllers.

Enjoy!

WMC 09 Day 6

Packed, and ready to wait 8 hours to get home . . .
we wandered the streets only to find one of my dearest friends on the beach from the night before. She looked like something out of a movie, disheveled, heels in hand (well, actually in a garbage bag with other belongings) still smiling, and ready for a glass of Veuve at her hotel.
I won't drop names, as she'll kill me for posting this with her name it, but i hope she takes the job in Amsterdam. It'll be the best thing she's done in years for herself.
Saw BT in the Lobby, and of course did the schmooze. Had too. It was BT.

Plane left 1 1/2 hours behind schedule, we arrived home in NYC 2 1/2 hours late.
The airline wasn't the best, and our hotel wasn't 5 stars, but after these past 5 days, we felt like we were riding the highest cloud on the planet and living the dream to its fullest.
THANK YOU MIAMI, and WMC09.
Eyes to the sky, and always a foot forward . . .

WMC 09 Day 5

Saturday. The last hoorah.
Planning on seeing Dave Seaman and Nick Warren at Shine.
But alas, a plane going overhead said Sasha was playing there tonight! WHAT????
A youtube video confirmed we should have gone to Shine the previous night, as Hybrid was there as well. grrrrr.
Anyway, we'll just have to deal with Sasha. Poor us. :-)
(several hours later......)
We're back from Shine. HOLY BASS BATMAN.
The sound guys must have a hearing deficiency in their lower frequencies. Our bones are still rattling from the distortion on the system. Sasha played fine, but sounded like crap.
Met his manager, Randy Reid, as well as another of his "crew", so hopefully we'll get a reception for our tunes.
And after a week of listening to other music, we put our headphones on and "zoned out" to compare ours withe the world at large in Miami. AND much to our surprise, we stood with the best. Well, i guess i wasn't suprised, but at least more confident. World, watch out, here we come!

WMC 09 Day 4

We took the day off . . .
well sorta.
Went to the beach, drank, slept, drank more, the ususal MIA matter.

Still managed to hand off cd's to The Scumfrog and his crew, who probably played the best set either of us heard all week at Feelgood's.

Saw some friends at the beach, and made new ones.

We needed the day off . . . .

WMC 09 day 3

After last night, i can't believe we're still standing. Up until 5 prepping for the next day of demos, handshaking, and whatnot.
24hrs later, doing the same thing, but with more stories . . .
Met LULA (last night a DJ saved my life), whom we did a remix of a new release from Kult records called "Overdose". We were told by her producer that our track was their favorite and could possibly be the breakthrough track of the album. Sweet. Met tons of others, but at this point, we're so exhausted that the business cards are our only recollections.

Spent a lot of time with the SAE sessions. Learned tons of production tips and remixing ideas from people with 20+ years in the industry. These people cared to help, and it was noticed by everyone in the room. Can't wait to get back into the studio and try some of the new tricks we've learned.

and lastly . . . big props to Redbull for pulling us through the day. Without it, i'm not sure if we could have survived.
:-P
until tomorrow . . .

WMC 09 Day 2

Our second day in South Beach started bright and early with a demo listen with Derek Scott Graves and Howard Kessler, among others. We asked them to listen to "Because of You", a track that we've been planning to pitch as a "radio" song. Great advice was received, albeit one of the panelists only said "I love the track. All you need to do is tighten it up."
WHAT?????
For all non-music writers, that translates basically into "I think you need more in your recipe, but i'm not sure what." Thanks for the help there, jeeves.

Quick break, and on to the marketing panel, which is always THE ONE SESSION that everyone should attend. Our packaging was well received (ie marketed well), and in high demand after the session. In all of it, though, the highlight was DJ RAP calling Science "Sweety".
 love it.
Poolside, bumped into an old friend from college daze, DJ SHORTEE. Great to see her as always, and even better catching up with all that she's done for the year. Don't get to see her enough.
A few drinks to the wind later, we pass out, wake up at 1:30am, head to the Global Underground party to hear Darren Emmerson.
Lainie Capicotto, "He just got off the decks. His set is over."
"WHAT?????  He was the reason we decided to show late so we could hear his new stuff."
"That's too bad.  Wanna meet him?"
"um, yeah!!!"
A few beats to the wind, and he's doing the robot dance in response to our cd cover, and seemed engaged. An introduction from Lainie didn't hurt, either.

All in all a good day.
Our music got heard and placed in a lot of important hands, today. Now the product has to speak for itself, which, we believe, is better than we could ever promote it.
Until next update . . . .

WMC 09 Day 1

Arriving 1/2 hr early, we have finally settled in to our first day at the conference.
Unbeknownst to me, Science has gotten us comps for a Ministry of Sound Party and a Global Underground party all on the same night as a Kult party (which we HAVE to represent). It'll be cool to meet the people we've remixed for Kult.

BUT before ANY of the fun begins, we have to prep CDs for giveaways.

Let us know if you are in the neighborhood, so you can get a FREE cd, that also includes a video we've been working on with Chris Shell, a video producer from Disco Down Productions, originally from Las Vegas, most recently from San Fran, and now based in NYC!!!!

Expect daily updates while we're here.

Let the games begin!!!!!

14,000+ hits, and boy are our fingers tired!

THANKS EVERYONE for all the attention! Our website (www.sciencevsnature.com) just passed 14,000 hits, and we're proud to say not all of them were us going to the site making sure it was still up and running! :-)

It's been several months since we wrote last. Sorry, but busy as usual.
Oddly, with the decline of the economy, we've rec'd more work from labels than ever before. Expect numerous remix releases in 2009, and not from closet DJ's or producers. Real deal, career musicians, and we're happy to be included in their destinations.
Once they are available to the world, we'll let everyone know.

We've also been cranking out remixes of our own material to be released in April, and working towards sneak peaks for everyone at Winter Music Conference this year. If you'll be in South Beach end of March let us know, and we'll meet up for a drink (or three!).

And lastly the live show . . .
Writing, rehearsals, more writing, and more rehearsing. Its never ending. But trust us. This spring will be incredible with loads of touring options that won't cost 1/3 of what it originally would have two years ago. The Euphonix MCcontrol and MCmix have changed everything for the better. We can't wait to show the world what we've designed for your ears.

Peace. Love and beats.
