SVN's first remix release on Kult Records

Hey all.
Sorry for the delay in letting everyone know about this.
We've been slammed getting the live show up and running. Between RAM issues, CPU chokes, and the redesigning of recording templates, i think we might be nearly 80% there. :-)
We are attempting to record every sound we play for you, LIVE, so that our live performance can be recorded and distributed almost instantaneously. In the studio, it will allow us to rehearse, record and release at an unstoppable speed. If you understand how much power that requires, you understand our issues. But we're almost there!

The music has been ridiculously good, though. We are planning on releasing 4 tracks a month WITH numerous remixes if this works. Let us know if you are interested in being a part of this monumental task!

and . . . without further adieu . . . released on 4/20 . . . written by Sebastien Gazeille . . .
Science Vs Nature's first remix release on Kult records can be found exclusively on Beatport.com

WMC 09 day 3

After last night, i can't believe we're still standing. Up until 5 prepping for the next day of demos, handshaking, and whatnot.
24hrs later, doing the same thing, but with more stories . . .
Met LULA (last night a DJ saved my life), whom we did a remix of a new release from Kult records called "Overdose". We were told by her producer that our track was their favorite and could possibly be the breakthrough track of the album. Sweet. Met tons of others, but at this point, we're so exhausted that the business cards are our only recollections.

Spent a lot of time with the SAE sessions. Learned tons of production tips and remixing ideas from people with 20+ years in the industry. These people cared to help, and it was noticed by everyone in the room. Can't wait to get back into the studio and try some of the new tricks we've learned.

and lastly . . . big props to Redbull for pulling us through the day. Without it, i'm not sure if we could have survived.
:-P
until tomorrow . . .

Moving on . . .

We have finished our remix for MADE BY MONKEYS for Kult Records, and are now revamping a song we did ages ago called "The Killer." We weren't too crazy about the song before we attacked it, and now, its becoming one of our biggest guns in the arsenal of tunes we've written. Imagine the band, Hybrid, gone metal. 'nuf said.

On a fun note, we have finally purchased and received our first touch-screen mixer (controller): Euphonix MC Control. This is an unbelievable little toy that allows complete adaptability with an infinite number of variations. It reads any and all programs, and just having it two days in the studio has already gotten jaws to hit the floor. VERY COOL MACHINE! Can't wait to show it out with our new live setup.

We're also cleaning the studio and pulling gear out to sell. Go to EBAY>Community and look for SVNature. You'll see all kinds of stuff for sale in the next week or so. SOME will be very rare things that only gearheads will know what to do with.

Until next time . . .

Another Home Run!

So just a quick note, since we're desperately trying to stay on top of this blog thingy . . .
Our remix of "Thinking of You" by Made By Monkeys is looking to be a HUGE club monster. Kult Records should be happy next Monday when we submit it.

On other "tech" notes, we sold our third Yamaha 01V mixer, so the Euphonic MC Control will shortly be in our studio (TOUCH SCREEN MIXER!). super dope.

Already starting to make plans for Winter Music Conference 09.
Looking at getting a condo or a house instead of a hotel room.
So if anyone out there as any suggestions . . .

again and always . . .

Not good with scheduled postings . . .

We keep having intentions to write here weekly. We continue having intentions to produce that elusive podcast we've gotten such great responses from. But, we seriously doubt your biting at the bit waiting for a blog about our progress.
You want to know more about what's in it for you!
Well . . .
1) New songs by the end of the month. (ie EP2), and btw, they are by far the best we have ever written and produced.
2) Kult records has asked us to do a remix, in addition to "The Killer" they just licensed from us. Can't wait to get our dirty lil hands on that!
3) We're working on a sales campaign for the new album that will be quite unique. More to come on that subject another day.

so don't fret.
Lots of free music for you. Lots of new things on the horizon.

we're busy . . . keep this in mind . . . for you!

as promised . . .

. . . i plan to keep this up-to-date, even when there's not a lot to report.

So to add to the 80+ websites we offer our music, please include www.last.fm.com They seem to be on the right track with their radio plays and report to ASCAP and BMI (huge plus for the starving musician).

We've also hit new levels with a track we're working on entitled GHOST. Its something that will most definitely be remembered on the dance floor. Science and I are debating the use of guitar in the song (it sounds really good-but will electronic dance fans be receptive to an electric guitar?). more than likely we'll have several remixes.

Our podcast is doing extremely well these past few months. Not sure where the "hits" are coming from but over 1000 in one week, and 3000 in a month. I'm happy with that. If you haven't seen or heard it: www.svn.podomatic.com SUBSCRIBE, its FREE!

Also, one of our tracks that hasn't been released is being signed to Kult Records. We tried negotiating a new contract, they refused, so we said screw it, we'll do it anyway. Exposure is exposure. One thing to keep in mind is that we're not very well known beyond our small circle of fans, and its time for some food on the table.

Hope your dreams as good as ours.
